Clinical trials allow our patients to test new drugs or devices before they are available to the general public. These kinds of studies are needed to develop new treatments for serious diseases such as cancer.
Participating in a clinical trial is a personal decision. Our providers work closely with patients to explore if there is a benefit to joining a clinical trial. Donayre Cancer Care Center has access to NCI funded clinical trials as well pharmaceutical trials for cancer patients. The trials are available for all major diseases sites, and include trials aimed at cancer prevention and symptom management.

A staff of dedicated oncology nurses who have been specially trained in clinical research will review eligibility for participation, conduct teaching sessions for patients and their family members and assist will referrals to outside institutions if necessary.
